CASTING CALL – OPEN CASKET

Independent horror feature filming July 2026 in and around Sumter and Florence, South Carolina.

The lead role has already been cast. We are now seeking actors for several principal, featured supporting, and voice roles.

Previous acting experience is welcome but not required. New and experienced actors are encouraged to submit.
Paid roles. Local hire preferred, though out-of-town submissions are welcome.

Principal Roles
Mark – Male, late 20s to mid 30s. Confident, capable, strong presence.
Tina – Female, mid to late 20s. Stylish, outspoken, dramatic, high-maintenance.

Featured Supporting Roles
Jackson – Male, late 20s to early 30s. Charismatic, funny, wisecracking best-friend type.
Amber – Female, late 20s to early 30s. Warm, observant, grounded, supportive.
Shaw – Male, mid to late 20s. Slim, mysterious, emotionally restrained, unsettling.

Voice Roles
Mrs. Jennings (V.O.) – Female, 30s to 40s. Warm, natural voice role.
Dispatch (V.O.) – Adult voice role. Clear, professional delivery.

Project Details
This is a low-budget, non-union independent horror feature. Meals will be provided on shoot days, and cast will receive IMDb credit.

Compensation
Voice roles: starting at $50/day
Featured supporting roles: $75/day
Principal roles: $100/day

Schedule
Production is expected to film over 14 consecutive days. Most roles will be required for only a portion of the schedule, not the full 14 days. Principal roles will require the greatest time commitment, while most featured supporting roles will likely be scheduled primarily on weekends. Voice roles will require minimal time commitment.

Travel / Lodging
Travel and per diem are not provided. Limited lodging may be considered on a case-by-case basis based on production needs.

Content Note
This is a horror film, and some roles may involve intense emotional material, screaming, blood effects, and physical acting.
